Swine Flu has got me really scared

Swine Flu, the contagious respiratory disease of pigs has got very scared now that it’s killing human beings. It all started in Mexico were more than 100 people have died and has now spread to some other countries throughout the world. Here in the UK, there have been some confirmed cases of Swine Flu.

Is there any way we can avoid getting Swine Flu???

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned the outbreak had ‘pandemic potential’ and counties were advised to prepare for a rapid spread. That’s very worrying stuff.

Symptoms of Swine Flu are similar to those of regular human seasonal influenza, including fever, fatigue, lack of appetite, coughing and sore throat and in some cases vomiting and diarrhoea.

If you think you’ve got it you should consult your doctor as a matter of urgency. I hope this Swine Flu thing will be contained before many people lose their lives.

As a regular user of London Underground, I’m really worried about the spread of Swine Flu if it was to affect London. Plus I guess if you are planning to travel you should be very careful about where you are going.

I am afraid myself. I’m glad I’m not doing any air travel at this time, but viruses like this is spreading pretty fast. I am on prednisone, which is an immune suppressing drug temporary so I really need to be careful.

@Carla…..I just pray and hope this Swine Flu will go away soon. Scarry how fast it is spreading, and with the World Health Organisation giving a level 5 warning, this sounds serious.
