A very costly way to finance an exotic holiday

A former head teacher who holidayed in Jamaica and Antigua on school money was found guilty of professional misconduct and banned from teaching for 5 years. ‘Paying the price for an exotic taste…!’

Susan Duncan is reported to have claimed expenses of more than £3000.00 for a trip to Jamaica with her female partner while she was head of Meadows School in Oldbury, West Midlands.

She claimed the money was for a risk assessment for a future school trip, a tribunal was told. Susan Duncan is also reported to have falsely claimed £306.00 for a ‘swimming with Dolphins’ experience in Antigua using the same reason.

We all love to have a holiday break sometime, but we have to work for our holiday money. ‘Stealing’ to finance an exotic holiday taste or stealing for whatever reason is never a good idea. Or is it borrowing without permission?

You are right @Debo Hobo…..she abused her position of trust, just for a holiday? I'm sure should could afford to pay from her salary.
