Supermodel Naomi Campbell could face six months in jail after being charged with half a dozen air rage offences. She was charged with assaulting two policewomen during an alleged “luagage rage” row during Heathrow’s terminal 5 opening chaos on April 3.
She was on a British Airways flight waiting for take-off to Los Angels. She is also accused of threats to air crew, and disorderly conduct.
Naomi Campbell allegedly became abusive when told one of her bags had gone missing. She is said to have assaulted police officers and spat at them.
Meanwhile British Airways is finalising plans to transfer long-haul flights to Terminal 5 on June 5. It will prove to be a major test after the embarassing fiasco during the original opening in March.
Services to and from eight destinations will switch to Terminal 5. These are services to JFK airport, Abuja, Bangalore, Beijing, Cairo, Cape Town, Lagos and Phoenix.
