Alcohol fuelled air-rage putting passenger’s lives at risk

A few days ago it was the record numbers of British Holidaymakers arrested abroad for different alcohol related offences and bad behaviour. Now it has also been reported that a record number of drunk and aggressive British holidaymakers are putting air passengers lives at risk. There has been an increase in Air rage attacks and assaults on cabin crews.

It has been said that official figures show that incidents of air rage involving Britons have trebled over the past five years. This year alone there has been an increase of a third in cases which could have threatened the safety of passengers and crew.
At the same time assaults on cabin staff have doubled.

The shocking rise in air rage violence has been blamed on binge-drinking in airports before boarding a flight. Many incidents are said to have started when already drunk passengers are told they can not smoke on the plane.

Last month two British woman started a drunken rampage abroad a plane in which one of them tried to open the cabin door at 30 000ft claiming she wanted fresh air.

So, is an alcohol ban the answer to these air rage incidents? Ban alcohol at airports and on-flight and stop anyone drunk from boarding the plane. These people are a danger and probably should be banned from flying isn’t it?
