American Tourists snub UK Holidays

As if bad weather is not enough to turn off tourists from Britain, tourism chiefs have said that the strong pound has reduced the number of American tourists to the UK by 120 000 in a year.
VisistBritain, estimates the fall is costing the UK economy £350m a year as American visitors steer clear.

Tourism is worth £15billion to the London economy. The fall in numbers of tourists coming to UK has seen a fall in revenue generated.

It has also been reported that Americans cutting back on travelling to London has a knock-on effect on Europe, because many Americans who come to London go on to fly to Europe.

I can hardly wait for our economy to make a turn around. These gas prices are really driving us in to the poor house over here.

It’s not only in the US, Debo. Even here in the UK, the Credit Crunch has really messed-up our lives.
Prices are going up, and petrol is now very expensive, we now have to make big financial adjustments to survive.

    Clever shopping.
