Airline to allow passengers to use mobile phones in mid-flight

Ryanair is to allow passengers to use their mobile phones in mid-flight at a cost of £2 a minute. The chief executive of Ryanair, Michael O’leary dismissed fears that the could disrupt other passengers, saying “If you want a quite flight, use another airline. Ryanair is noisy, full and we always try to sell you something.”

Does this explain the customer service that we should expect from Ryanair?

From what Ryanair chief said, it shows the airline is more interested in making money than whether you enjoy your flight or not.

The service is expected to start in two weeks, and follows a deal with Swiss communications firm OnAir.

I have experienced how annoying it is when people speak very loud on their mobile phone especially on public transport. Probably worse in London, now it seems the problems will be experienced by air travellers as well. Hopefully air travellers will be more considerate of other passengers.
