Council chiefs are preparing to splash cash on the redevelopment of Fairlop Waters. Fairlop Waters is Redbridge’s largest country park and leisure facility in Forest Road Barkingside. The work includes, landscaping, new plants around the main lake, restoring paths and improving signs and access routes.
It’s nice to know that the council has not forgotten about our green spaces, we don’t have much of these green spaces left in London.
On a sunny day in London, I love to go out of a walk in the country park. We don’t get many sunny days, so I make the most of it when we get sunny days. With cold season coming, country park life will not be for me. Can’t stand the cold weather.
The council is also going to spend money on resurfacing paths, and demolishing old buildings, building a climbing frame and play facilities.
How I wish the council could do more to save our green spaces in London which are fast disappearing because of all the building works taking place in most areas. But, again the trouble is this continuous increase in demand for accommodation. I guess we can’t have it both ways…..
Feel free to share your views, I’m always interested in what you have to say.
