A United Airlines pilot was arrested in a jet’s cockpit minutes before take-off on suspicion of being drunk.
Hundreds of passengers were stunned as they watched police march the pilot off the United Airlines flight to San Francisco on Sunday.
The police swooped after a tip-off from ground staff who suspected the pilot was boozing before before the flight.
This must have been a horrifying moment for all those air travellers on the United Airlines plane as they watched the pilot being frog-marched from the plane for being drunk. So close to being flown thousands of miles by somebody who have been drinking.
If the pilot was not caught this might have turned out to be nightmare journey for the hundreds of passengers.
